GBJRL to trial rule modification for Under 12s
RED DAY - DAY FOR DANIEL
The coach education program is aimed at recruiting club coaches in all age groups. To have the coaches accredited through the arl/qrl and have them qualified to coach. Educating them on game knowledge and the ability to teach. Continually updating them with relevant information on coaching methods and techniques and then maintaining the club’s coaches for the future. These sessions are held monthly during the football season and are conducted by the brisbane broncos football club and the carina broncos football development manager. The sessions are held for 2 groups – newer coaches and experienced coaches. They are delivered by way of theory and practical sessions. Coaches then take the knowledge and skills from these sessions and deliver them to their respective teams. All coach education session topics cover the 5 areas of the game’s ideal coaching structure. These areas are: knowledge of rules/laws of the game. Physical aspects of the game, technical aspects of the game, tactical aspects of the game and mental aspects of the game. The coaches are also educated about being role models for the players and play a huge part in the player’s character development along with their overall skill development.
